Nebbiolo
Nebbiolo is one of the great red grapes of the world. It is native to this north western area of Italy that encompasses Piedmont (Barolo, Barbaresco & Alba) and the neighbouring region in Lombardy, Valtellina. The wines age well allowing the substantial tannins to overlay ethereal layers of soft vinous and floral notes, particularly roses and violets. Paradox elements of tar and gentle anise are also evident.
